January 31 – Trevor Thompson
Navel gazing this morning thinking about the true value I offer clients. Ideally I help you plan and review to help you stick to your plan, but lets be frank, most people see a planner for a transactional reason “my super fees are too high” or “I’m retiring, what do I do about income” or “can you get me a cheaper income protection premium” . And then of course we review the portfolio we set up.
Then I thought about preventing my clients from doing something stupid, such as running for the exits when the market drops. That’s a real and tangible thing, stopping somebody from blowing up their portfolio. And this morning I saw this from the Behavior Gap. Long but interesting. The message, put someone between you and stupid!
Relevant I thought!
