Watching morning TV over the first coffee today and of course I pay attention to the “buy income protection over the phone advert”. The boss gets the workers together to tell them a colleague is off for a couple of months but don’t worry he has income protection insurance so he will still get paid. Meanwhile his co worker Johno is on the phone to get his own quote. An amazingly cheap $22 per fortnight. Only issue I saw is the fine print said that quote was based on a policy with a six month waiting period!!. The first injured worker would be back on the job before the waiting period had expired!! I might have a vested interest but I reckon there is still value to you to get a policy tailored to suit you!
